TEST RESULTS

Crema for days! I gotta say, I've really enjoyed testing out this classic Italian style espresso! It's definitely a little darker than I usually go for, but it is extremely smooth, and has a perfect amount of bite to it. It's velvety and sweet, with hints of nuttiness. It reminds me of the those old school Cuban style shots of espresso in the paper cups. Straight sippin' on memories! If you're a fan of Malabar Gold, then this coffee is right up your alley.

  • Basket: 16/20g IMS Precision Standard

  • Weight In: 17.4 grams

  • Weight Out: 30 - 34 grams

  • Temp: 195F

  • Extraction Time: 30 sec


Notes: I personally prefer darker espressos at cooler brew temps. In my opinion it helps bring out more of the brighter nuttier notes, which I enjoy. This coffee taste great in the 195F to 200F range. Extractions seems to get a little jumpy and shift around a bit towards the end as the puck erodes.
